Virgin Coconut Oil Remedies
  • Dermatitis-Massage warm coconut oil into infected area 4 to 8 times daily. Do this until condition improves. 15-20 minutes of direct exposure to sunlight everyday will also help.
  • Diaper rash-Coconut oil is an excellent lotion for babies. Apply coconut oil in the affected skin. Do this after each diaper change.
  • Ear Wax-Fill an eyedropper with warm coconut oil. Put a few drops into the ear canal. Doing this will loosen the ear wax and will eventually come out on its own. 
  • Head Lice-Apply a little coconut oil on the hair and scalp. Use a fine toothed comb to comb your hair from the scalp to the end of the hair. Shake the lice out of the comb. Do this at least twice then rinse your hair with shampoo. Massage scalp and hair with a large amount of coconut oil after drying the hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap. Let the oil stay in the hair for at least 12 hours. Comb through the hair again, and remove remaining lice. Rinse the hair with shampoo. Repeat as often as needed.
  • Insect Bites-Rub warm coconut oil on affected area. Do this 2 to 3 times daily.
  • Insomnia-Consume the required dosage of coconut oil daily (3-4 tbsps). Coconut oil regulates body functions and will help improve sleep.
  • Pimples-Every morning, after cleaning the face with soap and water, massage a thin layer of coconut oil on skin. On first use, your acne problem may worsen as toxins are eliminated. Your complexion will become clear with continued use.
  • Sunburn-Gently rub coconut oil on the affected skin as often as necessary. To prevent sunburn, massaged coconut oil on the skin before sun exposure. Build up sun tolerance by gradually increasing your time of sun exposure, applying coconut oil, and including coconut oil in your diet.
  • Varicose veins- Massage hot coconut oil on affected area. Do this 3 to 6 times daily.  Add 3 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 16 ounces of coconut water to your daily diet. Eat foods rich in fiber like fresh or dried coconut meat. Take vitamin C (1000 mg), grape seed extract (100 mg), and magnesium (500 mg) daily.
  • Wrinkles- Consume the required dosage of coconut oil daily (3-4 tbsps). Include coconut oil in your daily diet. Once or twice  a day, massage coconut oil on skin.
