Virgin Coconut Oil Remedies

Got a cold? Caught some skin rash? Don’t rush to the nearest clinic nor swallow that pill right away. Better yet, get your virgin coconut oil and experience immediate relief. Virgin coconut oil- It’s your medicine cabinet in a bottle!

  • Aches and pains-Massage hot (not too warm to cause discomfort) coconut oil on the afflicted area. Add 3 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 8 or more ounces of coconut water to your daily diet.
  • Body Odor- Rub a little coconut oil on the armpit. For severe body odor, mix 1 teaspoon of vitamin C or citric acid powder into 1 cup of water. Coat your body with this acid solution after you shower (especially on the armpit). It will restore the protective acid layer that is usually lost after taking a bath Soap and water removes this layer which acts as a shield against microorganisms that causes the bad smell. After drying off, apply coconut oil on the armpit and entire body.  
  • Burns-Immediately apply something cold (e.g. cold tea bag) on the burned area for 10 minutes. Apply coconut oil. Put coconut oil again every couple of hours until pain is relieved. This is only applicable for minor burns.
  • Cataracts-Fill an eyedropper with fresh coconut juice. Put a few drops into each eye. Drench a face towel in hot water. Squeeze excess water. While lying down, cover your eyes with the warm face towel for 10 minutes.
  • Chapped Lips- Massage warm coconut oil into infected area 4 to 8 times daily. Do this until condition improves. 15-20 minutes of direct exposure to sunlight everyday will also help.
  • Colds-Add a tablespoon of coconut oil to a drink of peppermint or chamomile tea. Massage the muscles on the shoulder, back of the neck, and chest with coconut oil two times a day. Drink lots of water and take Vitamin C.
  • Dandruff- Massage coconut oil into the scalp. Rinse your hair after 30 minutes. For better results, let the oil soak in longer (overnight is ideal).
  • Dehydration-Drink coconut water to rehydrate the body. Its sugar and electrolytes content will quickly restore nutrients that are lost. You can drink up to 8 ounces only at a time. You may experience loose bowel movement if you drink too much at once.
