The look and style of one’s hair can do so much to enhance one’s appearance.
That is why many people really make an effort to take care of their crowning glory. To keep it beautiful, maintenance is important to protect the hair from pollution and damage. The problem is many find the cost of hair treatments expensive. Others are worried on the bad effects of the chemicals that are usually present in hair conditioners and creams.
Fortunately these two concerns can be solved by an all-natural product- the virgin coconut oil (VCO). Apparently, virgin coconut oil can do wonders to one’s hair because it is a great hair conditioner. Since it’s natural and organic, then a user need not worry about chemicals that may have side effects.
Using virgin coconut oil in your hair has many benefits. Aside from making your hair soft and smooth, it also helps one prevent and get rid of hair and scalp problems such as dandruff because of its anti-fungal properties.
The ability of VCO to make one’s hair soft is due to the fact that it contains unique medium chain fatty acids with very tiny molecular structure. It is so small that it can easily penetrate into the hair's cell membrane. So unlike other conditioners that only conditions from the outside, VCO does it from the inside and out. The result is deep hair conditioning from within leaving hair smooth and soft. The VCO is also rich with powerful antioxidants so regular application on gives the hair a shield against environmental damage.
How To Condition Your Hair Using VCO
Put one to two teaspoon of virgin coconut oil on a slightly damp hair. Leave it on for as long as one wants. Others may choose to wait for several hours before rinsing it while others can opt to leave it one overnight. Use a shampoo and thoroughly wash your hair to remove excess oil. For better results it is ideal to deeply condition your hair with VCO at least once a week.
